• HAPPY NEW YEAR ….. 2015

If you have more “psychological room” for questions/introspection/exploring the SELF at the beginning of a new year, I want to share some questions from my own meditation retreat.  These are from Tom Jacobs at Timber Creek Retreat Center.  Just google Timber Creek if interested.  It’s a lovely space about an hour from Kansas City — described by  one participant as a 5 Star hotel in the woods!

At the end of the retreat, we answered two separate sets of questions.  The first:

RELEASE — LET GO — BURN

-What am I ready to let go of?

-What shall I now release from my life?

-What and who no longer work for me?

-What am I holding on to that holds me back?

-What thoughts and beliefs belong to the old me?

-How am I being unloving to myself.

The task is to answer the questions — then burn them as a release/letting go ritual — in a fire place or perhaps over the kitchen sink!

    The Second set of questions:

WHAT I ENVISION TO BUILD AND DEVELOP IN MY LIFE

-What do I want to attract to my life?

-What do I “believe” that really works for me?

-What thoughts or beliefs belong to the new me?

-What do I need to embrace to move me forward?

-What ways can I love myself more?

-What makes me more content and motivated?

-How do I want the next year to be?

Once you answer these, tuck them away somewhere with a reminder to check the answers somewhat regularly and see if they are guiding and helping you.

AND just keep exploring, being adventuresome, and taking very good care of yourself.  And again, HAPPY NEW YEAR.
